I'm not blaming anyone. I'd be saying the same things if we were talking about riding bikes, driving cars, speaking in our respective dialects or whatsoever. It's not that I'm irritated nor angry, I'm just curious and, since just when you reach a certain level of knowledge you can criticize others (I know it may not be nice, but you'll always face all kinds of judgments in your life), I was just asking myself how come people don't manage to learn the basics of a language, even if they listen to it approximately... 6 hours a week (depends, though)?
I'm not laughing at anyone, nor am I making fun of anyone.. I'm just, let's say.. discussing this phenomena pretty present in all of Italy, I'm afraid.
And by the way, regarding that "in grade of".. don't know 'bout England, but in America it's part of your everyday conversation, so I probably got used to it. But no one's perfect, neeh? Even you Italians use "a me mi piace", just the equivalent linguistic abomination in your mother tongue. And pretty often, too. As for the my so called being used to Latin languages, I'm afraid the statement in question is way off track, since my mother tongue is slavic that has little to do with latin.
I repeat: I'm not attacking anyone, I'm just saying that a lot of potential's going to waste by not giving a damn for learning languages you don't use every day.
