non sò quale sia il problema,ma ti consiglierei di modificare il sources.list aggiungendo qualche repository magari vedendo nei tanti wordpress tipo 3vino..

ora sono riuscito a installare uno ma non mi lascia installare Gstreamer extra plugins, quello per i file audio "This application conflicts with other installed software. To install 'gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly' the conflicting software must be removed first."
ma hai fatto l'aggiornamento online dalla 7.04 alla 7.10? perchè è uno degli errori che nasce dopo questo aggiornamento non eseguito al meglio.
ti conviene far cosi:
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
ti si apre una finestra:
cancella quello che c'è e incolla tutto questo

e poi riprova con i comandi di prima
se deve passare dalla 7.04 alla 7.10 consiglio anche un apt-get dist-upgrade (in debian è necessario per passare da un rilascio all'altro, e aggiorna l'intero sistema. Credo lo sia anche in ubuntu)
inspiegabilmente Ubuntu da 2 giorni mi va a treno a vapore... cioè tipo per aprire il terminale ci vuole un minuto e mezzo contato di orologio... premetto che non ho installato ne disinstallato niente e che la memoria è praticamente tutta libera.. ha iniziato a farlo da 2 o tre giorni... da che può dipendere??
Questo ubuntu mi lascia sempre più perplesso :|

In mandriva aggiungi con
urpmi.addmedia [indirizzo] with headlist.cz
Ma c'è anche il modo di farlo graficamente e i pacchetti li installo praticamente solo da grafica. O siete masochisti voi e insistete con le shell.
