e è venuto il mio momento allora in cui ogni progetto è una piccola preghiera per generare tempo
mentre mi fissavo le scarpe nell’ICU che puzzava di piscio e 409
e razionavo il mio respiro mentre mi dicevo che avevo già sopportato troppo per oggi
mentre ogni picco discendente dell’LCD ti portava un po’ più lontano da me

tra distributori automatici e riviste vecchie di anni in un posto dove possiamo solo dire addio
pungeva come un vento violento che al di fuori dei ricordi dipende da una macchina fotografica difettosa nelle nostre menti
ma sapevo che tu eri una verità che avrei preferito perdere piuttosto che non essermi mai sdraiato accanto a te
e io davo un’occhiata in giro a tutti quegli occhi fissi a terra mentre la tv intratteneva se stessa

perché non c’è nessun conforto nella sala d’attesa
soltanto gente che passeggia nervosa preparandosi a cattive notizie
e poi l’infermiera passa e tutti solleveranno le teste
ma io sto pensando a quello che ha detto Sarah che
“amare è guardare qualcuno morire”

così chi ti guarderà morire?
